Before anyone can take part in CNA training or obtain their certification, they must first go through a series of exams and requirements. The most important of which are to be at least 18 years or older. You must also have a high school or GED equivalency diploma. Applicants need to pass a physical examination by a doctor to prove they are in good health. A hepatitis and TB test will be done to make sure a person is Negative. And a check of a person’s background using fingerprints will be done to ascertain that¬†they have a clean criminal record.

The training hours required in the state of Florida for Certification as a nurse aide are 120 in total. These hours consists of 80 hours obtained via classroom lessons. The other 40 will come from lab and clinical experience earned.
